Privacy policy
The Collector Project ("TCP") is an app for collectors of vintage G.I. Joe figures and vehicles, operated by Wood Digital LLC, a Colorado limited liability company. This page says what TCP collects, why, who else handles it, and how to have it deleted. Questions go to hello@thecollectorproject.com.
What TCP collects
- Your account. Sign-in is handled by Clerk, which holds your email address and name. TCP itself stores the Clerk account id that links your collection to you.
- Your collection. The items you add and what you record about them: condition, what you paid, when and where you got them, notes, tags, the collections you put them in, and the photos you upload. Stored on TCP's servers in the United States.
- Photo identify. When you ask TCP to identify an item from photos, the photos are sent to Anthropic, whose Claude model reads them and suggests matches. TCP does not keep those photos. It records the number of photos, the suggestions and which one you chose, to measure accuracy and to apply daily limits.
- Sign-in cookie. Clerk sets a cookie that keeps you signed in. TCP uses no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
- Email you send TCP. Mail to hello@thecollectorproject.com passes through Cloudflare and is delivered to a Google (Gmail) mailbox, where it is kept as ordinary correspondence.
- Network data. Requests to TCP pass through Cloudflare, which processes IP addresses and request details to deliver the service and protect it from abuse.
How it is used
To run your account and the features you use: your collection and its value, your Watch rules and alerts, and photo identify. TCP does not sell personal data, does not use it for advertising, and does not share it except with the processors named on this page or where the law requires.
Market data
Prices and listings shown in TCP come from public marketplace listings and sales. They include the public seller names eBay shows on each listing. TCP does not link those names to TCP accounts, and using TCP adds nothing about you to them.
Links to eBay
Links from TCP to eBay may be affiliate links through the eBay Partner Network, and TCP may earn a commission when you buy through one, at no extra cost to you. Once you follow a link, eBay's own privacy notice applies on eBay's site, including any cookies eBay sets.
Keeping and deleting your data
Your data is kept while your account is open. To delete your account, email hello@thecollectorproject.com from the address you signed in with. TCP deletes your account data and photos within 30 days. Copies can remain in backups kept for disaster recovery; they are used for nothing else.
Children
TCP is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
